Artifact Donation Guidelines
To better control what items we add to the artifact collection of the Military Veterans Museum and Education Center, we have instituted the following policies regarding donations:
Museum cashiers, docents and other volunteers cannot accept any artifact donations that do not include pre-approved documentation from our collections committee.
All donations must be formally approved by our Collections Committee prior to being brought into the Museum. We cannot accept any items for temporary deposit nor do we routinely accept temporary loans.
The Museum assumes that donations are offered in good faith and that donors have the legal authority to transfer custody and ownership of donated items to the Museum. The Military Veterans Museum and Education Center will not knowingly accept any item acquired by either illegal or unethical means.
The Museum has limited storage and exhibit space, so we cannot promise to place any donation on exhibit, or hold any donation in perpetuity.
All donations are Final, and by signing our donation form you acknowledge that fact. The donated item or items become the property of the Museum and will not be subject to requests for return. The Museum reserves the right to use or dispose of donated items as it sees fit. Before donating, please be sure that no members of your family would like to continue to hold onto the artifacts.
We will consider any artifact donation you may have, and will gladly accept artifacts that add to the educational capability of our collection. If you have an artifact you would like to donate the museum, please fill out and submit the form below.
If you have pictures you can add, it will greatly help the Collections Committee in their evaluation of the item.
